The 30 minutes before I climb into my cozy bed is my favorite snippet of time every day. My day is finally winding down and I can (for the most part) take a deep breath and relax. I've made it through another day! What a relief! I do the same routine almost every single night, and I thought I'd share it so you guys can get a little glimpse at my daily life.

Read my devotional. I love my devotional book, and it's super short devotionals, so those are pretty easy to fit in. Right now I'm reading Jesus Calling for Graduates (yes, I graduated high school over a year ago but just got around to reading this one. Lol!). I really love this devotional because it's like reading a letter from Jesus every day. Sarah Young writes from Jesus' point of view, and every single devotional makes me so happy. I feel like Jesus knows us so well and knows exactly what to say to us, and Sarah Young conveys His comfort so perfectly.
Read a book. Pretty soon here I'll be doing a post about making time for reading, but we'll get more into that later. Ever since I got to college I didn't have time for reading, so now, during the summer, I'm making time for it (and hopefully I'll still do some reading once school starts back up). Right now I'm reading Villette by Charlotte Brontë and am loving it! Reading at night relaxes my brain and helps me wind down and escape the busy-ness of life.
Take a look at my planner to see what I have the next day. This is something I've grown super fond of! I'm old-fashioned and love a physical planner to look at. Something about putting plans into my phone just isn't right. I use an adorable cactus planner to write out my work schedule, school assignment due dates, appointments, and goals. After completing a task, I highlight it. It's so empowering! Haha. Having everything written out ahead of time allows me to look at what I have the next day, which keeps me on my toes and motivated.
Watch an episode of my fav TV show. This is honestly my favorite part of the night (although it shouldn't be, because that screen can't be good for my sleepy eyes...). Watching an episode of The Office, Friends, The Bold Type, or Call the Midwife always winds me down. They're about 20-40 minutes long (depending on the show) so I'm not spending too much time in front of my laptop ;)
Catch up on social media. If you know me you know I love social media and connecting with people! My days are usually pretty busy so at night I watch all the fun Insta stories and read the funny tweets my friends send me. I don't think this is a vital part of my night but I enjoy it.
Of course I do other things at night, but the sums up the things I do regularly. Leave me a comment down below and share what you like to do at night to settle down! I'm also going to link some of my current fav pj sets from SheIn.com in case you guys want to shop some other cute pj's at an awesome price.
