SPOILER ALERT: this blog post is my perception of the Monday night episode of The Bachelorette so don't read this if you don't want to know what happens! However if you missed the episode and want to know what happened, I break it all down here! Spa Group DateFor the first group date of the week Becca's best friends got spoiled by the guys with foot rubs, back rubs, and pedicures. It looked like so much fun, and the guys got so into it! It cracks me up that the guys on this show will do anything to impress Becca--but I respect it too! Of course there was drama, though. Colton, one of the guys, had dated Becca's friend Tia a few months back. Tia ended up being one of the girls on the spa date. Their interaction was not at all awkward to me. The producers of the show made it seem awkward but it truly wasn't. Becca later questioned Colton, asking if he was hoping Tia would be the bachelorette, but they talked it out and he actually ended up with the group date rose! I really like him and thought he handled the situation perfectly. In between all the Colton talk, David and Jordan got into a bit of a tiff that was honestly ridiculous! David was poking at Jordan for the 4,000 Tinder matches Jordan had in 2017. David then proceeds to tell Becca about it saying that Jordan "isn't here for the right reasons." Becca laughed it off with Jordan and it ended up not being a big deal at all. Jordan isn't a fav of mine, but I'm on his side for this one. David was being immature, just stirring the pot. Sometimes I think people on the show tattle on others hoping to narrow down the competition. In my opinion, they need to DROP IT. You're there to find love, not to police everyone else! One-On-One Songwriting DateFor this week's one-on-one, Chris got selected to go on a date with Becca. They met singer-songwriter Richard Marx and had to write lyrics about each other that would be made into a song. Chris struggled with this because he had an experience writing to his father years ago that made him extra emotional. Becca talked him through it and he ended up writing the most beautiful lyrics! He and Becca then went to dinner where Chris received the date rose. To be quite honest this date was uneventful. Football Group DateOkay so football isn't my favorite thing (lol!). This date was a pretty common date for the tv show and nothing really happened. The guys practiced and did some drills, and then got split up into two teams to play a game. During the game, Clay hurt his wrist and had to be taken to the ER. He didn't miss the afterparty, though! He made it back in time to talk to Becca and she ended up giving him the group date rose. David's InjuryHalfway through the episode, the ambulance showed up at the mansion to take David to the ER (did this episode have the record for most people to go to the ER?!). Producers made it look like he had been beat up by Jordan, but he had simply fallen out of his bed face first onto the ground (ouch!!!). Becca got to talk to him on the phone and although he was in the ICU, he sounded good and was ready to get back on the show after healing. Clay Leaving?!Just hours before the rose ceremony (which will be aired next week), Clay was informed that his wrist required surgery. After considering the factors, Clay spoke with Becca and decided it would be best for him to leave and go home to heal. Becca was very upset, considering he had already received a rose. But he did what he had to do, and she respected that. If you missed this week's episode, you can watch it on the ABC website. Even though this episode was a bit uneventful, I always love watching this show! Not to mention Becca's fashion is always on point!
