I'm sure everyone and their mother has heard about the Isle of Paradise tanning drops--but in case you haven't I'm going to be talking all about them today! I heard about these tanning drops from a few random bloggers I follow and just kind of jumped in and purchased them without thinking too much about it. Usually my impulse buys aren't very smart but I'm so satisfied with this purchase!! These tanning drops are a cheaper, healthier and easier alternative to bed tanning. I myself can't bed tan (I took Accutane and now have pretty sensitive skin. Click here to read more about my Accutane journey) so these are perfect for me. I know bed tanning has risks as well, and there are no risks to these drops. Not to mention, you don't have to hop in the car and drive somewhere to tan (it may be just me but that's a huge factor in my book lol). Are they going to make you as tan as the beds will? Most likely not. BUT these drops do darken you up a bit! For about a month now I've been using the medium shade of the drops and have noticed a difference in my tan. Even some of my friends said I looked darker! So while I haven't tried the dark shade yet (they literally came in today) I know for a fact I'll look even darker with these (perfect timing too, since it's slowly starting to warm up). The use of the drops vary among everyone, but today I'll be talking about how I use them. My goal isn't to be super duper tan--I just don't want to look pale. I use these drops twice a week. After a shower, I'll pump some lotion into my hands (usually just one pump), use two drops of the tanning oil, and rub that in as far as it will go. Then I repeat until I've "lotioned" my entire body. By the end of it I've used about 10 drops. So this stuff will last you a long time!!! However, if you're looking to be super tan you can use more drops and use them more frequently. During the summer I probably will but for right now I just want a little color. One thing I really love about these is they don't smell. I hate the spray tan smell, but these smell more like skincare. I even used the drops right before class one day and the girl I sat next to (she's a good friend of mine so I asked her to smell me LOL) said I didn't smell like tan. This is a huge factor, considering that you don't wash the tan off. After you put it on you go about your day normally, no need to rinse or wipe it off. I get a lot of questions asking if it's streaky, and I'm happy to say that it is not streaky! I make sure to mix the oil super well with my lotion, and it applies evenly! Overall these tanning drops are super easy to use and work magic--which is why they're always sold out. I'm still going to link the product, because you can sign up to receive email notifications when they've been restocked. As soon as you get the email, purchase them because they sell out in less than a day (I heard they once sold out in 30 minutes, yikes!). They're only $29, but I would pay over $50 for these because they're so worth it!! I think I covered everything but leave a comment below if you have more questions! I promised this blog post forever ago but everyone was wanting to know more about them when I posted about them on my story so I wrote this super fast lol!! I was at Sephora and had talked to you about it a few days before so I put the straight drop on my hand and it had and awkward tan spot for almost two weeks.
